Bridgette Macilwaine

Interested in arts, crafts and design since a very young age, my dad taught me much of how to draw and paint, with his work inspiring me to create my own pieces and explore with many media and materials.

 

Born in Zimbabwe and having the opportunity to travel to many different countries across the world has given many chances to draw inspiration from the wonders and experiences of these very beautiful places. 

 

I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with colours and techniques but also love monochromatic colours - using pencil or ink, as the effect of the finished piece has a completely different character to using colours.

 

As well as artwork, I enjoy spending time on other projects, which include fabrics, inks, dyes, prints, paints, waxes, stitching and sewing.
